??The actuators IC 20 and IC 40 are designed for all applications that require precisecontrolled rotary movement between 0'and90°They can be mounted directly onto thebutterfly valves BVG,BVA or BVH in orderto control the gas and air flow rates on gasburners.They are designed for control ratiosup to 1:10.

??An optional integrated feedback potentiometer offers the option of monitoring the currentposition of the actuator.This scan functioncan be used in automation processes.

??The IC 40 offers additional functions.It canbe used in continuously-controlled burnersand in step-by-step-controlled burners.Settings on the actuator IC 40 can be madeusing a PC with the parameterisation software BCSoft.Al the relevant settings for theprocess are made using the software via anoptical interface instead of with switching thecams.Various operating modes,which maybe modified,are stored in the unit.In additionthe control type(two-point signal,three-pointstep signal or continuous control),runningtimes,adjustment angles and intermediatepositions can be programmed.The actuator can also be controlled"by handusing the software.Once set,all the parameters can be savedand copied into other actuators,thus savingtime during the commissioning process.Service technicians can call up statisticaldata using BCSoft,such as hours of operation,actuating cycles and an error history.Some values can also be set to zero,forexample to record data over a specificperiod of time.

IC 40, staged control with online ad-justment of the burner firing capacityFor processes that require a homogeneoustemperature distribution and high temperature accuracy in the furnace.If only a low heat ouput is required, forexample to maintain the temperature in thefurnace, the burner can continue to run inintermittent operation. The adjustment angleof the valve is reduced by the analogue input(4 - 20 mA) of the actuator and the burneroutput is therefore lowered. This ensuresuniform temperature distribution even witha low burner output.The functions of the actuator IC 40 can alsobe used in the ceramics industry to correctthe lambda value or for temperature compen-sation purposes in hot air applications.
